What Our Nation Needs

Men and women of God.

The leaders of our country have failed us, and we have failed our leaders. What we need is for God-fearing men and women to be voted in and take the place of the men and women of evil and corruption, who lie to us day after day because that is their nature. Lies that flow naturally from their tongues to mislead and deceive. What we have now in Washington D. C. is Lord of the Flies. Adults acting like adolescents. Corrupting our youth in chaos and confusion. Leaders who have lost their way and some who have lost their souls.

As we move forward to do what is right, there will be opposition. We cannot let this stop us. They will try to shut us up. We must speak up. They will call us every name that comes from the pits of hell. We must stand firm. We must trade their words of hate with words of love and affirmation and with the word of God. When we are persecuted, we should consider it worthy and proclaim Jesus as our Savior. He is our Lord, our Savior, and our King and not even death can separate us.

These are the days that try men’s souls, says Thomas Pain. “Therefore say to them, ‘This is the nation that has not obeyed the Lord its God or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips.’” Jeremiah 7:28.

How do we combat this? “From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do” 1 Chronicles 12:32. It is time to stand firm on the word of God and recognize the signs of the time. Do you believe in evil? "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." John 10:10. Do you believe evil has been defeated? “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. What does this look like today? Put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18. When God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31.

Now the only question is, are we willing?
