De-evolution

De-evolution – or devolution. The idea that a species is actually evolving backward. A state of moving backward in some sense, such as morality or maturity.

Is this what we are witnessing as a society? Are we reverting to an uncommon state of mind, conducting ourselves not as mature adults but as immature adolescents? Are we understanding letting kids be kids? Can we teach them right from wrong without forcing them to deal with issues meant for a more mature teenager or adult? Can we keep adult entertainment for adults and not force it on our kids? Please. And I will tell you if you are demanding I accept who you are without the same consideration, don’t talk to me. Take some time to grow up. When our kids don’t listen, they go to timeout. When adults acting like children, don’t listen, bad things happen. This needs to end if we are going to have any chance at a civilized society. Only adults who can respect each other, especially their differences, can make this possible. Chaos and confusion don’t work for adults and it certainly doesn’t work for our children. It has to be unity over disunity and love over hate or all that we know about our free society as Americans will come to a crashing halt. And maybe that’s the point.

Adults, and I am talking to the mature adults, stand up and push back. That’s the only way this madness will end.
